Director of Engineering

The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the Engineering department and the maintenance needs of the entire property. He or She is responsible for developing budgets and actively managing the maintenance financial statement. He or She is also responsible for the overall leadership of the Engineering department, including the training and development of the Assistant Director of Engineering and the Engineering Associates. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director of Engineering develops and implements hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the return on investment to the owner.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years experience in hotel maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
Must be well organized, efficient and detail oriented
Must have strong financial and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Ability to develop, train, and motivate team members

Assistant Director of Engineering

The Assistant Director of Engineering is responsible for working with the Director of Engineering to ensure the smooth operation of the Engineering Department, as well as the maintenance needs of the entire property. He or She is responsible for working with the Director to develop budgets and actively manage the maintenance financial statement. He or She is also responsible for the training and development of the Engineering Team Members.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience in building maintenance, previous supervisory experience an asset
Must be well organized, efficient and detail oriented
Must have strong financial and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Ability to develop, train, and motivate team members

Engineers

The Engineers are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs for the hotel under the direction of the Director of Engineering and the Assistant Director of Engineering. He or She will also respond to any guest problems or requests in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

Previous experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hotel environment
Must be well organized, efficient and detail oriented
Ability to multi-task and deliver exceptional customer service
Must be a positive Team Player
Fluent in English (written & oral)
