Event Services Manager
The Event Services Manager is responsible for the overall Leadership of the Banquet and Conference Services Departments. He or She will strategize long term ideas and solutions to promote and market the department. The Event Services Manager will be responsible for monitoring controls of beverage costs, inventories, forecasts, productivity and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years previous management experience in high volume banquets facilities and/or Conference Services
  • A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management, or related field an asset
  • Demonstrated ability in taking on numerous responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Micros, Word, Excel, and Email
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Ability to develop, train, and motivate team members
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail

Conference Services Manager
The Conference Services Managers are responsible assisting guests in planning their meetings and events prior to arriving at the hotel. They are also responsible for up-selling meeting packages and achieving their sales goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in Event Planning and/or Banquets
  • Secondary education such as a Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management relating to Event Planning an asset
  • Demonstrated ability in taking on numerous responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • Must be well organized, efficient and detail oriented
  • Must be a positive, service-oriented team player
  • Fluent (written & oral) in English

Conference Services Coordinator
The Conference Services Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Conference Services Managers. He or She will answer all incoming calls and direct to the appropriately. The Conference Services Assistant will also be responsible for booking all in-house meetings and creating the banquet event orders.

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel experience an asset preferably in the Front Office and/or Banquets
  • Demonstrated ability in taking on numerous responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • Must be well organized, efficient and detail oriented
  • Must be a positive, service-oriented team player
  • Fluent in English (written & oral)

Assistant Banquet Manager
The Assistant Banquet Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Banquets Department. They are responsible for scheduling appropriate staffing levels and controlling/monitoring daily labour costs. The Assistant Banquet Managers supervise and assist in the set-up of functions according to the function contract specifications, as well as supervising during the running of fuctions. They work with the Event Services Manager to communicate effectively with the team through daily briefings and monthly staff meetings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in F&B management, with previous experience in high volume banquets facilities 
  • A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management, or related field an asset
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and able to motivate others
  • Promotions and marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Micros system, Microsoft Word and Excel

Banquet Supervisor
The Banquet Supervisors assist the Assistant Banquet Manager in supervising the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure guest satisfaction. They will respond to any guest inquires and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years previous Banquet experience
  • Previous supervisor/management experience an asset
  • Must be an energetic Team Player with excellent customer service skills
  • Available to work a variety of shifts 
  • Fluent (written & oral) in English
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment

Banquet Server
Banquet Servers are responsible for servicing Banquet Functions with Food & Beverage during events and helping to set-up and teardown F&B stations before and after events.

Qualifications

  • Previous Banquet and/or F&B experience considered an asset
  • Must be a positive, service-oriented team player
  • Must be well organized and efficient; and enjoy a multi-tasked environment
  • “Serving it Right” certification required
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Fluent (written & oral) in English
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

Banquet Houseperson
Banquet Housepersons are responsible for the setup and tear down of all Banquet Functions according to the event function contract specifications. They are also responsible for cleaning and maintaining all Banquet areas.

Qualifications

  • Previous Banquet experience considered an asset
  • Must be physically able to lift and move items as required for banquet set-ups.
  • Must be a positive, service-oriented team player
  • Must be well organized and efficient; and enjoy a multi-tasked environment
  • Fluent (written & oral) in English
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

Banquet Bartender
Banquet Bartenders are responsible for taking and delivering beverage orders in an efficient manner and ensuring that all liquor laws are adhered to during events.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess an outstanding knowledge of wines and spirits
  • “Serving it Right” certification required 
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Previous banquet experience preferred 
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have strong initiative
  • Fluent (written & oral) in English
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly organized, work well under pressure
