Director of Human Resources
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the overall leadership of the Human Resources Department including the HR Manager. He or She will take the active role in promoting a positive work culture and will work with Department Heads and Team Member in resolving any problems that arise. The Director of HR will be responsible for the development, implementation and communication of Human Resources policies, ensuring consistency in application and compliance with relevant government and company regulations. He or She will facilitated the effective training and development of Team Members and will coordinate all internal and external training programs based on business needs. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director of Human Resources develops and implements hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the return on investment to the owner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years previous Human Resources experience preferably in a Hotel environment. 
  • A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Hospitality, or related field an asset

Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the recruiting, screen, tracking and interviewing of applicants for entry level positions. He or She will organize and run employee programs, such as the Year End Gala and Associates Appreciation Week. He or She will take an active role in promoting a positive work culture, and will assist Associates in resolving any problems that arise. The Human Resources Manager will also chair the Health & Safety Committee and assist in the administration of WCB claims and Return to Work programs.

Qualifications

  • Prior HR Experience or Post secondary education in hospitality management, HR, or other related field preferred
  • A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Hospitality or related field an asset
  • Strong computer skills including Work, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
  • Must be very focused on detail, tracking and follow up
  • Must be a friendly, approachable individual who enjoys working with people
