Sales

Director of Sales
The Director of Sales is responsible for the overall leadership of the Sales Department including the Assistant Director of Sales,  Sales Managers and Sales Coordinator. He or She will prepare long-range sales and marketing strategies for the department and develop and implement a budget designed to meet these strategies. He or She will provide the necessary leadership and motivation to implement effective sales & marketing strategies and to maximize the generation of hotel sales & revenue. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director of Sales develops and implements hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the return on investment to the owner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years Sales experience in large full-service hotels, with at least 2 years as an Assistant Director of Sales or similar position
  • A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management, or related field an asset
  • A clear understanding of yield management
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills and ability to multitask
  • Must be a highly motivated individual
  • Ability to exercise judgment to evaluate situations and make sound decisions
  • Able to set priorities and achieve long term goals

Assistant Director of Sales
The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for organizing and supervising all departmental activities including prospecting, qualifying potential leads, and preparing written proposals and contracts. He or She will assist the Director of Sales in compiling sales forecasts, the development of guest rooms rates and the collection/reporting of sales data. He or she is also responsible for assisting with the overall leadership of the Sales department including the Sales Managers and the Sales Assistant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years Sales experience in large full-service hotels
  • A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management, or related field an asset
  • Previous supervisory or management experience an asset
  •  A clear understanding of yield management
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills and ability to multitask
  • Must be a highly motivated individual

Sales Manager
The Sales Manager is responsible for negotiating and selling the hotel by following prospects, potential leads, and preparing written proposals and contracts.  He or She will also be responsible for setting and achieving personal and departmental revenue goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 years Sales experience, preferaby in hotels
  • A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management, or related field an asset
  • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills , as well as well-developed listening skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills and ability to multitask
  • Must be a highly motivated individual
  • Must have a good knowledge of computer programs, i.e. Word, Excel and Delphi

Sales Coordinator
The Sales Coordinatro will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Sales, Assistant Director of Sales and Sales Managers. He or She will answer all incoming calls and direct to the appropriate manager. He or she will perform other administrative duties such as filing, data input and other duties assigned by the Director of Sales.

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel experience an asset
  • Must be well organized, efficient and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability in taking on numerous responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • Fluent in English (written & oral)
